The Band

Dave Berry began his musical career as a highly touted jazz percussionist, but life's journey eventually led him to the banjo.  Today, with his custom Cox banjo in tow, Dave is among the "A-list" banjoists in New England.

Wisconsin's own Jake Henry has also been deeply influeced by many musical genres, and his vast repertoire is reflective of a musical mind that has readily absorbed ideas from rock to Bach as well.  Jake was a founding member of the festival bands the New North and My Bluegrass Romance.

Maine's own Bill Holden is one of the up and coming resophonic guitarists on the New England acoustic scene.  In addition to his membership in Mountain Emergency, Bill also lends his tasteful licks to the Portland-based bluegrass band Cumberland Crossing.

Jeff Trippe has been playing string music for over forty years.  Raised in northern Florida and with deep roots in the hills of Georgia, Jeff has long-term commitments to bluegrass, country blues, old-time, and Irish music.  He also plays with the Kevin Midgley Players (blues), the Mutineers (folk), and was a member of the Florida-based Celtic band Meridian.

Steve Bixby is one of the most decorated standup bass players in the New England region.  He is a member in good standing of the award-winning Katahdin Valley Boys and a highly respected keeper of the flame of bluegrass music throughout the northeast.
